about

On this track, I wrote the beginning riff and most of the music during a casual jam I was having one friday night with some close friends at their UCLA dorm room. I was having a go on a twelve string acoustic guitar that night, and loved the Zeppelin-esque jangle to it.
The wordless music plagued my head for about a week until I went out for some coffee one evening and suddenly ran back into my car and scribbled all the words in five minutes on my dashboard. It all came out with one breath.
I knew we were onto something special when Shay Godwin put his percussive touch to it on drums. It was at sweet beginning of the new album to come.
We had a lot of fun in the studio recording it. Internationally renown world musician Arto Tuncboyaciyan joined us one evening to add stellar percussive grooves and his signature voice, which was a really awesome. Also, the very talented Deepak Ramapriyan played all the Moroccan style strings. It's a great three and a half minute sonic journey.

lyrics

Calendar Expires

Believe me brother, days are numbered
When time comes things won’t be the same
Just you keep in mind the center
Love is going to win this game

Always hiding information
Never want for you to know
The sacred space of your intentions
Secret waterfalls that glow

Got you chasing dreams they've sold you
Stole you from your inner space
Now all your time is spent to money
Can the damage be erased?

I'm no slave to Nostradamus
I don’t want the world to end
There’s no “others”, cos you’re my brother
And I don’t want to kill my friend

We’re racing towards times end
It’s useless to pretend we’re strangers
Calendar expires
Build another fire cos we’re all singing

Yes, we’re really brothers!
Yes, their days are numbered!
The space of your intentions!
When time comes, things won’t be the same!
